Renowned singer Prakash Dutraj has made his debut in film acting. He plays a lead role in the film “Aahuti: The Way of Change”, which is currently being shot in Subhang, Panchthar.
In the film, Prakash is paired opposite actress Samragyee RL Shah. Actor Rihan Giri also plays a major role, and child artist Ayushi Dhakal is featured as well.
“Since this is my first film, I feel both nervous and excited,” Dutraj shared with Onlinekhabar. He appears opposite Samragyee in the film, and photos shared by the actress show both of them portraying rural characters.

According to sources, filming for both Part 1 and Part 2 is ongoing. As soon as the first part wraps up, production for the second will begin. Rihan Giri is expected to enter in the second part. He is a finalist of The Voice of Nepal Season 4 and also starred in the film Hostel 3, which recently celebrated 51 days since release.
The film is being quietly shot under the direction and production of Bhawani Sangraula. It is being made under the banner of Anil Sangraula Movie Maker. The reported budget of the film is NPR 12.5 million.
Dutraj is well known for his emotionally resonant folk songs. His hits include Rimai, Ghar Kata Ho Bainiko, Resham, and Jam Bho Maili.
