Most Praise Director Krisha After Watching the Film ‘Pitambar’

 ‘Pitambar’ has been watched by several celebrities. On Tuesday, many film professionals attended a screening at Big Movies in City Center, where they appreciated the work of director Krisha Chaulagain.

After watching the film, actor Kedar Ghimire shared his positive reaction. He said, “It felt really good. Everyone’s acting is very strong. The action was equally powerful. The direction was impressive too. Let’s not even debate that—there seemed to be a whole truckload of talented actors. Everyone did a great job.”

His wife and fellow artist Sitadevi Timilsina also praised the film. Sharing her thoughts alongside Kedar, she said, “It was really good. The events portrayed are from our own country—especially the issues faced by single women. That was a powerful aspect and left a good impression.”

Actor and director Shovit Basnet, who recently returned to Nepal after living in Australia for a long time, also praised the film. He mentioned that he had even watched the film while in Australia and watched it again today. On his way out of the theater, he said, “Every aspect of this film is well-executed. The actors have performed exceptionally well. I particularly want to salute Saugat Malla and Pramod Agrahari—they left a strong impression.”

He also praised the direction of the film.

Deepak Acharya (Kaku), who recently completed filming his own directorial venture ‘Paran’ and returned to Kathmandu, couldn’t stop praising the movie. He said, “I had already mentioned before—Krisha Ji’s courage and determination really impressed me. She deserves our salute. It feels like this is the first action film of this scale ever made in Nepal.”

He also openly praised the film’s fight director and cinematographer.

Comedian Rajaram Poudel was also present at the screening. He too praised director Krisha enthusiastically, saying, “Krisha Ji has made a truly outstanding film. Her courage and determination deserve recognition.”

According to him, all actors contributed equally to the film.

The film features a large ensemble cast including Saugat Malla, Sushma Pant, Pradeep Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Anup Bikram Shahi, Gauri Malla, Rabindra Jha, Pramod Agrahari, Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Tika Pahadi, Sulav Pahadi, Surveer Pandit, Bishal Pahadi, Divyadev Pant, Supuspa Bhatt, Divya Rayamajhi, Gaurav Bista, Ashish Purush, Lalit Bista, Kishor Bhatt, Binod Kumar Poudel, Narayan Kafle, and Rabindra Bhattarai.

Produced under the banners of KP Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, ‘Pitambar’ is directed by Krisha Chaulagain. The film also features child actors including Arnab Ghimire, Prayush Dutta Subedi, Aadhya Lamichhane, Aaroh Chaulagain, and Suprol Budhathoki (Anmol).

The film is produced by Bishal Chaulagain, with co-producers Purushottam Pradhan, Aadhya Lamichhane, and Aaroh Chaulagain. Suman Gautam is the executive producer. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Pradeep Bhardwaj and Abhimanyu Nirvi.

The film’s cinematography (DOP) is by Purushottam Pradhan, with additional camera work by Sher Bahadur Lama and Manakrishna Maharjan. Editing and trailer by Bande Prasad, background score by Kalacharan, color grading by Renish Fago, music by Ashish Aviral and Babul Giri, and action direction by Himal KC.

The film is distributed by RR Films and has been screening in most theaters across Nepal since Chaitra 29 (April 11).
