Foreign Demand Surges for ‘Narsimha: Avatar’ After Trailer Release, Australia Rights Sold

The hype for the film Narsimha: Avatar, set to release on Jestha 9, has spiked following the release of its official trailer.

With the trailer generating significant buzz, not only is anticipation growing in the domestic market, but international demand has also seen a notable rise.
According to the film’s writer and director Diwakar Bhattarai, interest in the film has been high from abroad, and negotiations are ongoing for its distribution in various countries.

In the meantime, Australia, considered one of the biggest overseas markets for Nepali films, has already acquired the film’s release rights.
The Australian distribution rights for Narsimha: Avatar have been purchased by BI Events. The producers have not disclosed the purchase amount.

Barsha Itani of BI Events stated:

“The craze for superstar Rajesh Hamal and the buzz around this film are very strong in Australia. That’s why, keeping audience demand in mind, we’ve acquired the Australian rights. We hope the film will win the hearts of Nepali audiences in Australia.”

Barsha is also a singer who previously participated in The Voice of Nepal.

She mentioned that the film will be released in Australia shortly after its release in Nepal.

Produced by Nem Maharjan, Deepak Dhakal, Narendra Maharjan, and Dhruba Neupane, the film features performances by Rajesh Hamal, Raj Katuwal, Niti Shah, Sanisha Bhattarai, Neer Shah, Prashant Tamrakar, Rajiv Jung Basnet, Ramesh Chand Sodari, and Deepa Shahi, among others.

The film is projected to have a strong box office opening.
