Nepal has been eliminated in the early rounds of the Miss International 2024 finale, which took place on Tuesday evening in Tokyo, Japan.

This year, Miss Nepal International Karuna Rawat represented Nepal in the competition. A total of 73 contestants from various countries participated. Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy from Vietnam won the title, marking the first time Vietnam has secured this prestigious crown.

In the competition, Camila Roca from Bolivia was the first runner-up, followed by Alba Perez from Spain, Sakra Guerrero from Venezuela, and Sophie Kirana from Indonesia, who made it to the top five. In the introduction round, Karuna showcased an impressive national costume, captivating the audience.

This year’s Miss International contest was centered around the theme of mental health and sustainability. In alignment with the theme, Karuna presented a project focused on the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals, specifically on “Good Health and Well-being.”

Earlier, in the Miss Earth 2024 pageant held last week, Nepal also couldn’t secure a spot in the top 20 finalists.

Despite Nepal’s consistent participation in beauty pageants, achieving the desired success on the international stage remains a challenge.
