The auspicious inauguration (muhurat) of the film Pari, written and directed by Govinda Gautam, has been held. The ceremony took place at the Ganesh Temple in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, with a script worship ritual.
Actors Kiran KC, Deepashree Niraula, Laxmi Giri, Deepak Adhikari, Renu Dulal, among others, were present at the event.
Speaking at the program, Kiran KC said he decided to work on the film because he found the script very impressive. “The script of this film is truly excellent,” he said. “To be honest, even Deepa and I had never worked this hard on a script before—director Gautam has put in tremendous effort.”
Deepashree Niraula also said that everyone had worked hard on the script. She mentioned that she agreed to act in the film because she liked the story.
She said, “If not just us, but all departments put effort into the script, the film will turn out to be a hit. And once it becomes successful, more producers will join in, and the quality of productions will improve. That’s why everyone needs to work hard—not just us. Director Gautam has worked very hard on this script, which is why I agreed to be part of it.”
Apart from Kiran and Deepa, the film also stars Priyanka Karki, Nidesh DC, Dig Vijay KC, Shyam Rai, Ghanshyam Giri, Deepak Adhikari, Renu Dulal, Sangam Gautam, Jessica Pokharel, Nisha Gautam, and Arnav Nagila.
Director Gautam said the shooting of the film is planned to begin on Jestha 28–29 (early June). Preparations are underway for filming in and around Dolakha and Tanahun. The story is based on the imagination of a fairy tale.
The cinematography will be done by Babu Shrestha, with choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Ramji Lamichhane. Action direction is by Roshan Shrestha, while the music is composed by Deepak Sharma and Bikash Chaudhary. The vocals are provided by Dr. Khem Kshetri, Rachana Rimal, and Dr. Mahendra Bhatt. Lyrics are by Anand Adhikari.
Makeup will be handled by Saroj Pandey, and hairstyling by Priya Karki. Subash Kafle is the project manager, and Chandra Bhandari will serve as the chief assistant director.
