‘Maitighar’ Film Revives Classic Song with New Video Featuring Lead Actresses

The title song of the film Maitighar, produced by Rohit Adhikari, has been filmed. The shooting took place at Kalika Temple in Baglung.

The music video features dance performances by the film’s lead actresses Upasana Singh Thakuri and Shyamshree Sherpa. Producer Rohit Adhikari shared that over 50 chorus artists were also featured in the song.

The song Basant Nai Basna Khojchha Yaha Lolayer, which was part of the original Maitighar film released 59 years ago, still remains popular among audiences today. Rohit has included this classic song in his film Maitighar as well, and it is expected to be well-loved by viewers.

The song is sung by Sanjivani, with lyrics by Kiran Kharel and music composed by Jayadev. The choreography of the video was done by Kamal Rai.

The production team has announced that the film Maitighar will be released during the Dashain festival’s Phoolpati ceremony. They say no effort has been spared to make the film excellent.

Maitighar is directed by Milan Tamang, and the film also incorporates Tamang culture, which is an important part of the story.

Cinematography is by Susan Prajapati. The film is financed by Rohit Adhikari, Rabin Sherchan, and Dhiraj Tamang. Executive producers are Ishwar Shrestha and Niraj Katuwal.

The cast includes Kedar Ghimire, Dhiraj Magar, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamshree Sherpa, Yuvraj Lama, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Wangdel, and others.

The film was shot in Takam and Dharapani villages of Myagdi district.
