The first song ‘Satya Jugaiko’ from the much-anticipated Nepali film ‘Soltini’, which is set to release on Constitution Day (Asoj 3), has been officially released.
Based on the traditional Eastern Maruni rhythm, the song features vocals by Prashant Siwakoti and Asmita Adhikari. This is Adhikari’s first song in the Maruni style. The lyrics and music are composed by Prashant Siwakoti himself.
The song, shot in Bhojpur, features actors Prakash Saput and Pariksha Limbu along with Sundar Dhital and Sabbu Gurung in dance performances. Choreography is done by Mausam Himali. Director Arjun Subedi mentioned that it has been nearly 7–8 years since a Maruni song was included in a Nepali film, and they expect it to generate special interest among viewers.
The film has been shot in scenic locations including Ilam Bazaar, Biblate, Kanyam, Birtamod, Pathari, and Bhojpur. According to director Subedi, the film connects viewers with a unique storyline and raises its voice against inhumanity and caste-based discrimination, with a romantic plot between the two main characters at its core. Prakash Saput and Pariksha Limbu will be appearing together on screen for the first time through this film.
The film features a strong presence of notable actors from the Nepali film industry, including Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Rabindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kavita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatri among others.
The songs of Soltini are composed by Prashant Siwakoti and Hercules Basnet, while cinematography is by Sushan Prajapati. The story is co-written by Arjun Subedi and Kumar Bhattarai.
Produced in collaboration between Planet Three Films and Yellow Entertainment, the producers are Regina Bista and Sansar Chaulagain. The poster and publicity design are done by Royal Bhimsen and Trident Concept, while distribution in Nepal is handled by RR Films Pvt. Ltd. The digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.
