After experiencing health issues, singer Rachana Rimal was brought to Kathmandu from Rukum West via Nepalgunj. Doctors have diagnosed her with a small intestine infection.
She is currently undergoing treatment at HAMS Hospital.
According to her brother, Shridhar Adhikari, the infection has caused inflammation in her small intestine, along with some abdominal complications.
She has been under medication since Tuesday night.
Adhikari further mentioned that she is being given very limited water—only in small sips, not full-mouth gulps.
Rimal will remain hospitalized for a few more days. She will be discharged only once she is able to eat solid food again.
Rimal had traveled to Belatapu, Sanibheri in Rukum West to perform at a local festival. However, after she experienced sudden abdominal pain, she was flown to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj on an army helicopter.
