Renowned actor Pradeep Rawat, known for his work in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil films, has been signed for the upcoming Nepali film Aa Bata Aama, directed by Chandra Pant.

Director Pant confirmed Rawat’s casting, stating, “We have signed Pradeep Rawat for Aa Bata Aama. He will be portraying Pal Shah’s father in the film. His character is deeply rooted in traditional Nepali lifestyle.”

Rawat expressed his excitement about working in a Nepali film. He had previously played the role of actress Neeta Dhungana’s father in Hraswa Deergha, also directed by Pant — a character well received by audiences.

Actress Bipana Thapa and actor Pal Shah were already confirmed for the film. Bipana made a comeback to Nepali cinema after 16 years with Pant’s Hraswa Deergha and is now collaborating with him again in Aa Bata Aama.

The screenplay is written by Abhimanyu Nirabi. The film is set to begin shooting from Bhadra (August/September), with additional cast and crew announcements to follow soon.

The theme poster was unveiled two weeks ago. According to director Pant, the film will release on Falgun 15 (February 27, 2025).
