A new film titled Kina Lagchha Maya is set to be produced under the banner of S&S Production. Produced by Monu Khadka and directed by Kuber Tamang, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in the first week of Asar (mid-June).
The cast includes Sanjeet Bhandari, Richa Thapa, Janabi Basnet, Dhiren Shakya, Pavitra Saki (popularly known as Miss Pubby), Rajendra Khadki, Hiuwala Gautam, Sabin Bastola, Ravi Dangol, Gopal Dhakal, Niroj Khulal, Samrant Thapa, Bheg Pahari, Binod Dhakal, among others.
Actor Megh Subedi will play the lead role. Megh has previously acted in dozens of music videos.
Based on a story by Shadow Rear, the film features a screenplay and dialogues by Ramkaji Ghimire, cinematography by Ramsharan Upreti, music by Pushkar Sunuwar, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane and Abhi Wagle, and action direction by Rajendra Khadki.
Arjun Prasad Pokharel serves as the production controller, while Ramsharan Koirala is the chief assistant director. Dipta Prakash Adhikari and Subash Gautame will assist in the direction.
The film will be shot across various locations including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Eastern Nawalparasi, and Mustang.
Kina Lagchha Maya explores the relationship between two brothers, emphasizing responsibility, sacrifice, and familial bonds. The film also aims to address pressing social themes.
