The first song from the upcoming film Cetaamol, titled “Jhumka Kanaima”, has been released. The song is based on the traditional Hudke dance from the Karnali province and combines Deuda and folk musical flavors in its audio composition. It was unveiled during a program held in Kathmandu on Monday. The music video features the film’s lead actors Saugat Malla and Benisha Hamal.
The song has been composed and sung by Babul Giri, with lyrics penned by Govind Bhatt. Popular singer Shantishree Pariyar has accompanied Giri in vocals. The video was filmed by Praveen Singh and choreographed by Kaviraj Gahatraj. The production team believes the song’s quality audio and visuals will win the audience’s hearts.
At the song launch event, Raj Bahadur Sane, the film’s director, was joined by Member of Parliament Gyanendra Shahi as the chief guest. Wishing the team success, Shahi expressed hope that the film would be as outstanding as the song.
Speaking at the event, director Sane confidently stated, “Cetaamol will change my career. This is the best film I’ve made so far. We poured our hard work into making this, and I believe it reflects a true story from Nepali society.”
The film stars Saugat Malla, Benisha Hamal, along with Shree Krishna Niraula, Januka Bishwakarma, Lokendra Lekhak, Bhugol Karki, Hiuwala Gautam, Sushil Pokharel, Dinesh Regmi, RR Khadka, Gyanu Mall, Pawan Bhattarai, Kajal Bhujel, and child actors Karan Pariyar and Aradhya Rajyalaxmi DC. Both Shree Krishna and Januka are making their debut in the Nepali silver screen through this film.
Produced by Tulsi Devi Film Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Juntara Films, the film’s story is written by Pradeep Bhardwaj and director Sane. Presented by Simos Sunuwar, the film’s producers are Bhugol Kumar Karki and Bikash Raj Joshi. Apsara Nepali, Ajay Mall, and Kumar KC are executive producers, while Gangaram Shrestha is a co-producer.
