The shooting of poet Upendra Subba’s third directorial film “Jari 2” has been completed. The entire filming took place in Panchthar and was wrapped up on the 36th day. Announcing the completion, the production company Bansuri Films stated that the film will be released during the upcoming Dashain festival.
Although it is confirmed for a Dashain release, the production team has not yet disclosed the exact date. Along with the completion of filming, the team has also revealed the character looks of the lead actors Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar. In the released photos, Miruna is seen in traditional Limbu attire, while Dayahang is shown playing the Chyabrung drum.
The film’s slogan is “Song of Chyabrung.” “Jari 2” is written by the same director of the blockbuster film “Jari” from 2080 BS (2023 AD), Upendra Subba. His debut directorial, “Jari,” had grossed over 170 million rupees at the Nepali box office. Since the announcement of its production, “Jari 2” has been eagerly awaited by audiences.
The film is produced under the banners of Bansuri Films and Kabaddi Films by successful director Rambabu Gurung. Alongside Dayahang and Miruna, the film also features performances by Bijay Baral, Richa Sharma, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Mao Tse Gurung, Manahang Lawati, Bishnu Moktan, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, Rekha Limbu, Bedana Rai, and Sirjana Ninglekhu.
