Under the direction of Rishi Lamichhane, the film Magne Raja has released its first look poster along with the official announcement of its release date. The poster and date were unveiled on Friday at a special event held at Pragya Dabali.

The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on Bhadra 6 (August 22, 2025). Among the two released posters, one features actor Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha) in a royal avatar seated on a chair surrounded by money. The other poster showcases the three lead actors: Kedar Ghimire, Barsha Siwakoti, and Wilson Bikram Rai.

Director Rishi Lamichhane is making his comeback to direction after 8 years with this film. He mentioned that Magne Raja tells the story of today’s youth who imagine themselves as kings in the current social context. The film’s presenter and producer, Munal Ghimire, is also returning to production after a long gap since the release of Ichchha. He currently serves as the ward chairman of Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan City, Ward No. 4, in Dang.

This marks the third collaboration between director Lamichhane and producer Ghimire. Their previous two films, Aafno Manchhe Aafnai Huncha and Shriman-Shrimati, were box office hits. Lamichhane expressed confidence that their third collaboration will also be a superhit during the poster launch and release date announcement event.

Under the banner of Aarambha Production, the film stars Kedar Ghimire (Magne Budha), Barsha Siwakoti, Pushkar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Sharda Giri, and TikTok model Pabitra Saki a.k.a. Miss Pabi. Actor Aryan Sigdel also appears in a special role.

The film is being distributed by RR Films and features cinematography by Narendra Mainali, a story, screenplay, and dialogue by Samipya Raj Timalsena, and music by Deepak Sharma and Babul Giri.
