The title video and official release date of the film ‘Harsha’, directed by debutant Ekata Paudel, have been announced. The video, released on Monday, confirmed that the film will hit theaters on Mangsir 12, 2081 (November 28, 2024).
At the beginning of the title video, director Ekata Paudel dedicates the film to her late uncle, Shiv Regmi, a revered filmmaker in Nepali cinema. Paudel, who is the niece of Regmi, studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy and holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and a master’s degree in management and leadership. She has previously directed several short films.
Harsha was entirely shot in Chitwan, and is currently in the post-production phase. Paudel shared that she and her team are committed to delivering a quality cinematic experience to the audience.
The film features an ensemble cast including Khagendra Lamichhane, Barsha Raut, Nir Shah, Santosh Pant, Sharmila Malla, Mao Tse Gurung, Bishal Pahadi, Nima Pandey, Lunibha Tuladhar, Anshu Maharjan, Renu Pradhan, Subarna Thapa, Shristi Maharjan, and Sangeeta Napit.
Produced under the banner of Ashtalakshmi Productions and E-Prime Movies, the story of Harsha has been penned by director Paudel herself. It presents a family-oriented social narrative.

The film will be distributed by Govinda Shahi’s Kaphiyah Films, while Budha Subba Digital has acquired its digital rights.
