Writer Narendra Bahadur Shrestha has filed a lawsuit at the Kathmandu District Court against actor Anmol KC and the team of his film Farki Farki, alleging misuse of his personal phone number.
According to Shrestha, his mobile number was used without consent in the film Farki Farki starring Anmol KC, causing him mental and physical distress. The lawsuit was filed through his legal representative on Monday.
In the petition, Shrestha claims that even after requesting the MSM OTT platform to remove his number, no action was taken. As a result, he was compelled to seek legal remedy.
He has demanded appropriate compensation for the damages he claims to have suffered due to the incident.
Alongside actor KC, the petition lists film director Suyog Gurung, producer Rohit Adhikari, and the Film Review Committee as respondents.
Shrestha has stated in the petition that he had repeatedly informed the concerned regulatory bodies about the issue through written correspondence, but after receiving no response, he resorted to legal action.
