On Friday, the trailer of the film “Yo Maan Ta Mero Nepali Ho” was released amidst a program in the capital. The trailer aims to highlight the richness of the Nepali language, literature, art, history, and its significance.
Speaking at the press conference, director Mitra Pradhan said the film is based on a story that imparts knowledge about the Nepali language, traditions, and culture to the younger generation and reflects efforts made for their preservation.
Producer and actor Roshan Shrestha mentioned that this is a film every Nepali should watch. Similarly, Bijaya Baral noted that it is a distinct film that connects with Nepali language, literature, and art. Wilson Bikram Rai shared that he wrote a song that fits the storyline and, having closely observed the narrative, believes the film has turned out excellent. Lead actress Ayusha Samal expressed her efforts to learn and preserve the Nepali language despite living abroad.
Set to release on Asar 27, the film “Yo Maan Ta Mero Nepali Ho” features performances from Roshan Shrestha, Bijaya Baral, Wilson Bikram Rai, Buddhi Tamang ‘Hait’, Ayusha Samal, Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden “Mantri”, Subash Bhandari, Bijaya Subba, Bijita Pariyar, Devaraj Rajbanshi, and Bhanubhakta Sitoula, among others.
Presented by Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., the film is produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan (Roshan) and presented by Mitra Pradhan.
Directed by US-based literary figure Mitra Pradhan (Nar), the film is written by Shivam Adhikari, with cinematography by Saurabh Lama, action by Dev Maharjan, VFX by Samir Miya, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Pramod Bhandari, editing by Banish Shah, and CGI by Satyam Rana.
The soundtrack is composed by Dipak Sharma, Bikash Chaudhary, and Thorompo Hyang Rai, with lyrics by Dipak Sharma, Wilson Bikram Rai, and Shankar Adhikari Ghayal. Anish Adhikari contributed lyrics to the Khijadi song. The film will be distributed by RR Films.
