Nepali film ‘Aankha’, directed by Jaun Yonzon, has won two major awards at the 29th International Police Award Arts Festival (IPAAFF) held in Italy. The film bagged the awards for Best Film and Best Actress, the latter going to lead actress Smita Lamichhane.
The award ceremony will be held on September 14 in Bergamo, Italy.
Previously, ‘Aankha’ had also won three awards at the Nepal International Film Festival (NIFF). The film was released on Asoj 11 (September 28, 2023) but its screening was affected due to floods and landslides.
Director Yonzon is currently working on his upcoming film ‘Roll Number One’, while his another film titled ‘Ma Rajesh Hamal’ is also set to release soon.
