The film Maitighar, directed by Milan Tamang and produced by Rohit Adhikari, has sold its Australia rights for a hefty sum.
Scheduled for a global release during the Phulpati of the upcoming Dashain festival, the film’s first look is yet to be revealed. However, selling the Australia rights at a high price even before releasing the poster confirms the level of hype surrounding the film.

According to the production team, a significant portion of the film’s investment has already been recovered through this deal. The Australia release rights have been acquired by Pramej Dhami and Prakash Gaire for Himaro Entertainment.

Producer Adhikari stated that discussions are ongoing to sell the film in other countries as well. International sales are expected soon, driven by the film’s storyline, cast lineup, and the production team’s dedicated efforts—factors that have increased its demand overseas.

The film is shot by Sushan Prajapati and financed by Rohit Adhikari, Rabin Sherchan, and Dhiraj Tamang. The executive producers are Ishwar Shrestha and Niraj Katuwal.
The cast includes Kedar Ghimire, Dhiraj Magar, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamshree Sherpa, Yuvraj Lama, Buddhi Tamang, and Shishir Wangel, among others.
