Actor Kedar Ghimire has expressed excitement over the positive response received by the teaser of ‘Magne Raja’. Thankful for the praise from both audiences and industry professionals, he shared his belief that the upcoming promotional materials for the film will also receive similar affection.
“We are happy with the audience’s feedback on the teaser. The comments appreciating my new look have been taken positively. However, the character in ‘Magne Raja’ continues the legacy of the original ‘Magnet’ persona, so the same catchphrases and expressions are used. That said, you will also see a new version of the character in the film,” said Ghimire.
The teaser has garnered nearly 1 million views in just three days, with audiences particularly enjoying its dialogue. The production quality showcased in the teaser has also been well received.
Director Rishi Lamichhane noted, “Getting over 993,000 views in just three days reflects the trust audiences have in the film.”
According to Lamichhane, the film is a comedy, and the teaser has successfully built curiosity among viewers. “A teaser is meant to tease — to generate excitement for the film — and I believe it has done just that. We had some doubts about introducing Kedar Ghimire in a lead role for the first time, but the response has reassured us.”
He further explained that the film’s narrative revolves around the ‘Magnet’ character, and therefore, the promotional content will also prominently feature him. “You could say this is a spin-off of the beloved character. Since the beginning, we’ve aimed to present this story in a humorous way. If audiences come with that expectation, they won’t be disappointed,” Lamichhane added.
Set to release nationwide on Bhadra 6, the teaser for ‘Magne Raja’ has successfully generated buzz. Produced by Munal Ghimire, the film stars Kedar Ghimire alongside Wilson Bikram Rai, Barsha Siwakoti, Shishir Wangdel, Sharda Giri, and others. The cinematography is by Narendra Mainali.
