On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a new Nepali film titled ‘Baakas’ has been officially announced. The film will be produced under the banner of P.K. Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and directed by Naveen Pant, who has also written the story.
Set in a Nepali socio-cultural context, ‘Baakas’ is planned to be filmed both in Nepal and abroad. According to the production team, the script is currently in development, and casting for both actors and crew will begin soon.
The film will feature songs written by lyricists Shankar Adhikari Ghayal and Narayan Basnet. Scheduled to go on floors after Tihar, the makers are aiming for a 2083 B.S. (2026 A.D.) release.
