A grand premiere of the Nepali film ‘Yo Man Ta Mero Nepali Ho’, scheduled for release tomorrow (Asar 27), was held on Wednesday evening at Big Movies, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. The event witnessed a strong presence of filmmakers, journalists, actors, and high-ranking officials.
After watching the film, many attendees praised it enthusiastically.
Director Tulsi Ghimire remarked that the film effectively portrays the importance of Nepali language, literature, art, and history, and serves as a meaningful message for the new generation.
Director Ashok Sharma thanked the makers for taking on such a nationally significant project.
Actor Rajaram Poudel stated that the film reflects deep patriotism and is one that every Nepali should watch.
Folk singer Jyoti Magar also encouraged all Nepalis to watch the film, calling it a must-see.
Journalist Sushil Nepal suggested that films like this deserve tax exemptions from the state, as they highlight the essence of Nepali identity—something one truly realizes while living abroad.
Other attendees such as Tikaram Yatri, Badri Pangeni, Radhika Hamal, Rajendra Salabh, Rishi Lamichhane, former MP Mahendra Limbu, AIG Banshiraj Dahal, Mohan Niraula, Janakdeep Parajuli, Pushkar Lama, and comedian Dinesh Kafle also echoed similar sentiments, saying the film should be watched by Nepalis across the world.
Lead actors Vijay Baral, Roshan Shrestha, Wilson Bikram Rai, Ayusha Samal, and Buddhi Tamang expressed their happiness over the positive response at the premiere and said they were confident about the film’s success.
Presented by Ishwar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and produced by Gyan Bahadur Pradhan (Roshan), the film is directed by Mitra Pradhan (Nar) and written by Shivam Adhikari.
The film also stars Narayan Khati, Bhupendra Lingden ‘Mantri’, Subash Bhandari, Bijay Subba, Bijita Pariyar, Devaraj Rajbanshi, and Bhanubhakta Sitoula.
Saurav Lama handled the cinematography, Dev Maharjan directed the action sequences, Banesh Shah edited the film, Satyam Rana did the CGI, and choreography was done by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Pramod Bhandari.
The music was composed by Deepak Sharma, Bikash Chaudhary, and Thorampo Hyang Rai, with lyrics by Deepak Sharma, Wilson Bikram Rai, Shankar Adhikari Ghayal, and Anish Adhikari (Khijadi song).
