Rising model and actor Prabhatpal Thakuri has been signed as one of the lead actors in the upcoming Nepali film ‘Jadau’, which is based on an inter-caste love story. Thakuri will be seen opposite actress Niti Shah in the film.
Though the director of the film is yet to be officially announced, the film is written and conceived by Kaji Limbu.
‘Jadau’ already features a strong cast, including Mukun Bhusal, Niti Shah, Richa Sharma, and Binod Neupane. With Prabhatpal’s addition, the film’s lineup has become even more promising. Expressing his excitement, Thakuri said he feels honored to share the screen with senior actors and is currently preparing intensely for the role.
The film is a joint production of Silver Screen Entertainment and Samishran Movies & Entertainment. The co-producers are Ramraja Subedi, Om Chemjong, Sumitra Devkota, and Narayan Shastri, with Buddhi Majhi handling production management.
According to Silver Screen’s Managing Director Bimala Bhandari, shooting is set to begin in the first week of Bhadra (late August). The film will be shot across various locations in Dang and Pyuthan.
‘Jadau’ will feature music by Babul Giri and cinematography by Shyam Tamang. The production team is preparing to unveil detailed information about the project through a press meet in the coming days.
