In the popular reality show ‘Acting Star,’ an emotional and inspiring performance based on the real-life events of Srijana Suvedi and Vivek Pangeni was showcased. The story of Srijana’s dedication and sacrifice while supporting her husband Vivek through his battle with brain cancer was powerfully portrayed by contestant Navina Ranabhatt.
Navina, with the help of actors Dipesh Khatri and Anup Bhandari, brought the emotional journey to life. The portrayal of Srijana’s dedication, from Vivek’s treatment to his final farewell, left thousands of viewers in tears. The scene, especially the moment when Navina bids a final goodbye to Vivek, moved the entire studio to tears, and it is reported that filming had to be paused for a while due to the emotional intensity.
Before the performance, Navina had a chance to meet Srijana Suvedi in person. During their meeting, Srijana shared the entire emotional journey and allowed her painful yet inspirational story to be presented publicly. The show’s team created the performance based on this real-life account.
‘Acting Star’ seems to be ushering in a new era of reality and sensitivity in Nepali television, by bringing true life stories to the stage.
According to Mahak Media Network, over a thousand contestants from across Nepal’s mountains, hills, and Terai, as well as from Sikkim, Darjeeling, West Bengal, and Mumbai, participated in the auditions. After the selection process, 13 top contestants have entered the final stage.
The show airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM on Ap1 HD Television and OSR Reality.

The winner will receive a cash prize of NPR 2 million and an opportunity to act in a movie. The first runner-up will get NPR 1 million, and the second runner-up will receive NPR 500,000.
