The highly anticipated Nepali film ‘Balidan’, set to release during this year’s Dashain festival, has begun its promotional campaign with the unveiling of a massive 60-foot high and 16-foot wide poster. The banner was displayed on the exterior wall of Lhotse Mall in Gongabu Bus Park on Thursday, drawing significant public attention.

The poster features actor Samir Bhatt in a fierce, bloodied look, wielding a spear-like weapon against a giant humanoid figure. His expression reflects rage, determination, and sacrifice. The dark clouds, flames, and shadowy environment add symbolic and cinematic depth, hinting at the film’s intense and patriotic tone.

Director Santosh Sen described Balidan as “the beginning of a cinematic revolution.” He added, “This is not just a film — it’s a movement. ‘Yo Jyan Balidan’ (This life is for sacrifice). Every shot, every frame has been meticulously crafted to build a powerful cinematic structure.”

According to him, Balidan aims to stand out even among international films through its strong storyline, emotional depth, and bold presentation. The team has launched a nationwide promotional tour under the ‘Balidan Banner’, with a vision to reach audiences in villages, towns, and cities across Nepal.

Previously released promotional materials included a mysterious look of Saugat Malla, a pre-teaser released on Samir Bhatt’s birthday, and character posters featuring Samir Bhatt and actress Kabita Rai, all of which garnered considerable buzz.

Produced under the banner of Asusen Films Pvt. Ltd., Balidan features Samir Bhatt, Saugat Malla, Kabita Rai, Arpan Thapa, Richa Sharma, Hemant Budhathoki, and Prem Puri in leading roles. The film is produced by Pawan Bradford Bista with Prem Puri serving as executive producer.
