The pace of new film productions in the Nepali film industry has been accelerating in recent times. In this context, director Rajendra Basnet has officially announced a new comedy film titled ‘Kisne Kaha Chha?’
The announcement was made public along with the release of the film’s thematic poster, which shows a vehicle stuck in a muddy road while a man working on the road is seen conversing with someone—visually hinting at a rural setting.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues of the film have been written by Binay Raj Paudel. To be produced under the banner of Green Parrots Film Production, the film is being financed by Hemanta Basnet, with Ishwar Ballabh Upreti onboard as the executive producer.
According to director Basnet, filming is set to begin soon. Although the cast has not been finalized yet, the production team stated that the selection process is currently underway.
Being a comedy genre film, ‘Kisne Kaha Chha?’ is expected to offer a deep portrayal of Nepali society. The film is also anticipated to contribute to the growing trend of comedy in Nepali cinema.
