The motion teaser of the Nepali film ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ has been officially released. The production team unveiled the teaser on Tuesday, sparking curiosity among audiences about its intriguing plot.
The teaser begins with a man lighting a cigarette outside Morang District Prison. He then flips a coin, which lands at the center of a rotating wheel. There, a mysterious puzzle appears, showing a knife, four individuals in yellow attire, fire, and fluttering currency notes coming out of a bag.
The visuals hint at a story centered on greed, deception, and a struggle for survival.
The film is scheduled for release on September 12 (Bhadra 27) in Nepali language, while the Hindi version will see a worldwide release on September 22 (Asoj 6).
According to the filmmakers, Abhimanyu: Chapter 1 tells the story of a person trapped in a labyrinth of temptation and greed, struggling to find a way out.
Directed by Sushant Gautam, this marks his directorial debut. The screenplay is written by Mukesh Khanal, with Madan Thapa as the creative director.
The film features Kameshwor Chaurasiya, Sarita Giri, Gaumaya Gurung, Laxmi Bardewa, Shishir Wangdel, Kiran Shrestha, Prakash Dahal, and Sushma Nirola in lead roles.
Produced under the banner of Seven Seas Cinema, the movie is produced by Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri, with Ramesh Chaulagai and Hari Shrestha as co-producers. The executive producers include Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luintel, and Sandesh Shrestha.
The technical team includes Jiwan Shakya (Line Producer), Aakash Ukheda (Chief Assistant Director), Madan Ghimire (Editor), Saroj Shrestha (Production Controller), and Sharad Mahato (Director of Photography).
