Renowned actor Saugat Malla has been officially signed for the upcoming film Mitju, directed by Anil Budha Magar. The production team formally announced his inclusion on Thursday, further strengthening the film’s cast.
Actors Dayahang Rai, Teriya Magar, and Smita Lamichhane had already been signed earlier. With the addition of Saugat, the powerful reunion of Dayahang and Saugat is expected to generate even more excitement among audiences, according to the production team. The director confirmed that casting for other roles is still ongoing.
The story of Mitju is written by Mahesh Rai, while the producer is Janak Gharti Magar, known for the blockbuster film Gharjwai. This marks the second collaboration between director Anil Budha Magar and producer Janak Gharti Magar.
Cinematography will be handled by Shishir Bishankhe. Under the banner of GM Movies Production Pvt. Ltd., the film is scheduled to begin shooting in Pokhara and the Dhorpatan region from the second week of Mangsir (late November).
According to the makers, the film is targeted for release on Chaitra 27 (early April 2026). With a strong cast lineup and a refreshing storyline, Mitju is being seen as one of the most anticipated projects in the Nepali film market.
