The much-anticipated film Chitthi, directed by Madhav Raj Kharel and slated for nationwide release on Bhadra 20 (September 5, 2025), has unveiled its poster. Produced under the banner of Era Production and to be distributed by Kuver Distributors Pvt. Ltd., the film belongs to the comedy-horror genre. Along with a static poster, the production team has also released a motion poster.
According to the producers, Chitthi is portrayed as a fusion of realistic humor, social satire, and suspenseful events. The film addresses contemporary issues such as digital society, human relationships, and the misuse of information in an engaging manner.
“We have brought a story that will make the audience laugh while also making them think,” says director Kharel.
The released motion poster vividly reflects the fusion of mystery, fear, and comedy. With dark color tones, mysterious expressions, and strong character presence, the poster is expected to increase curiosity among viewers.
The film stars organic comedian Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabpu), Sanjit Bhandari, Gopal Dhakal ‘Chhande’, Nabaraj Thapa, Praban Bhushal, Muskan Lama, Kanchan Chalise, Mohan Niraula, Shantipriya, Shreedev Bhattarai, Namrata Kharel, Rajan Thapa, Rashmi Bhatt, Muna Niraula, Kabindra Tripathi, Purushottam Sanu, Soma Khatri, Prahlad Kharel, Devil Singh Rajput, Samir Lama, Raju Karki, Raju Gurung and others.
Produced by journalist Kamala Joshi, the film was shot by Jeevan Parajuli and Rajan Kharel, edited by Rajesh Kumar, and the VFX is by Samir Miya. Songs in the film are penned by Dr. Krishnahari Baral and Kamala Joshi, with vocals by Shiv Pariyar, Banisha Poudel, and Basanta Aryal. Music is composed by Saroj Koirala, while the Shiva Tandava segment is arranged by Rajendra Bajgai. Action direction is by Kiran Dahal, background music by Pushkar Khatri, and sound design/mixing by Manoj Pariyar and Amit Shrestha respectively.
With active promotion, the team aims to present Chitthi as a film offering a unique flavor to Nepali audiences.
