“Sindurko Rang” Song from Nepali Film Chitthi Released

The second official song “Sindurko Rang” from the upcoming Nepali film Chitthi, set to release nationwide on Bhadra 20 (September 5, 2025), was unveiled amid a special ceremony in the capital. The event was attended by members of the press and artists associated with the film.

Directed by Madhav Raj Kharel under the banner of Era Production, Chitthi is being distributed by Kuver Distributors Pvt. Ltd. According to the filmmakers, the movie blends elements of horror and comedy. The newly released song, “Sindurko Rang,” serves as the emotional backbone of the film, exploring themes of marriage, trust, devotion, and a woman’s silent struggle and unwavering faith in her husband.

The lyrics are penned by journalist Kamala Joshi, composed by Saroj Koirala, and performed by singer Benisha Poudel. Director Kharel described the song not merely as music, but as a voice of the female soul that will deeply resonate with audiences. The music video features lead actors Sanjeet Bhandari and Kanchan Chalise, along with a special appearance by singer Poudel herself.

Chitthi is based on the psychological and moral conflicts between a YouTube journalist, land mafias, individuals suffering from mental illness, and unseen spiritual forces. The film portrays contemporary Nepali society through lenses of social realism, institutional corruption, human tendencies, and familial emotions, aiming to deliver a unique and thought-provoking cinematic experience.

The film stars renowned organic comedian Khadka Bahadur Pun ‘Khabpu’, Sanjeet Bhandari, Gopal Dhakal ‘Chhande’, Navaraj Thapa, Prabhan Bhusal, Muskan Lama, Kanchan Chalise, Mohan Niraula, Shantipriya, Shreedev Bhattarai, Namrata Kharel, Rajan Thapa, Rashmi Bhatt, Muna Niraula, Kabindra Tripathi, Purushottam Sanu, Soma Khatri, Prahlad Kharel, Devil Singh Rajput, Samir Lama, Raju Karki, and Rajju Gurung, among others.

The film is produced by journalist Kamala Joshi. Cinematography is handled by Jivan Parajuli and Rajan Kharel, with editing by Rajesh Kumar. VFX is done by Samir Miya, while sound editing is by Manoj Pariyar, and 5.1 audio mixing by Amit Shrestha. Another featured track “Tuteko Tara” includes lyrics by Dr. Krishnahari Baral and music by Shiva Pariyar and Saroj Koirala. The Shiv Tandav track is performed by Basanta Aryal, with music arrangement by Rajendra Bajgain. The film’s action direction is by Kiran Dahal, and the background score is composed by Pushkar Khatri.

During the press meet, the film’s cast, crew, producers, and music team shared insights and experiences regarding both the song and the overall project. Chitthi is scheduled to release across Nepal on Bhadra 20 (September 5, 2025).
