The song recording for Jhingedau 2, a film directed and produced by Gyanendra Deuja, has been completed. On Wednesday, the song titled “Aajlai Naaibhana” was recorded, featuring vocals by renowned singer Shantishree Pariyar and singer Basanta Thapa.

This marks Basanta Thapa’s second playback appearance in a Nepali film after Chha Maya Chhappakai. The song features lyrics, music composition, and arrangement by Arjun Pokharel, making it the first collaboration between Pokharel and singer Thapa.

Previously, singer Pariyar, director Deuja, and composer Pokharel worked together on the hit track “Aago Bina Bidi Jaldaina” from the original Jhingedau. Riding on the song’s popularity, director Deuja has once again teamed up with Pariyar, referring to her as the film’s “lucky charm.” According to the production team, all pre-production work—including song recordings—will be completed within ten days, and filming will commence soon after the Dashain and Tihar festivals.

The film is a direct sequel, picking up the story where the original Jhingedau left off. Most of the original cast members will return, including Keki Adhikari, Aanchal Sharma, Mukun Bhusal, and Kushal Bishwokarma. In addition, a new actor and a new actress will also be introduced in lead roles.

Jhingedau 2 will be produced under the banner of Kapan Gadhi Cinema Pvt. Ltd., with Sulabh Pratik Deuja and Samikshya Deuja as producers. Ishwar Ghimire will serve as the production head. The film will feature cinematography by Bishnu Kalpit, music by Arjun Pokharel, action direction by Roshan Shrestha, and editing by Mitra D. Gurung.
