Stronger Casting for Paral Ko Ago as Saugat Replaces Jitu

Actor Saugat Malla has been officially signed on for the upcoming film based on the renowned story Paral Ko Ago by celebrated writer Guru Prasad Mainali. According to the production team, Malla will portray the lead character ‘Juthe Dhamai’ in the film. His official agreement was finalized on Thursday.

With Malla’s inclusion, the primary cast lineup for Paral Ko Ago is now complete. The film, produced by Sushil Pokhrel, will also feature Prakash Saput, Suhana Thapa, Sirjana Adhikari, Shankar Acharya, Kishor Bhandari, Kuldeep Adhikari, Saru Bhandari, Renu Neupane, and Jack Shrestha.

The production team has also ensured a strong lineup in the music department. Lyrics will be penned by Surendra Rana, Man Bahadur Mukhia, and Prakash Saput, while music composition will be led by veteran composers Shanti Thatal, Satya Swaroop, and Prakash Saput. The film is being produced with the formal approval of the Mainali Story Award Trust.

Directed by Laxman Sunar, principal photography is scheduled to begin on Bhadra 26 in and around Myagdi. According to producer Pokhrel, the film is being developed with a strong social message in mind, and the team is currently working with full enthusiasm.

The cinematography will be handled by Sankalp Bhujel. The production team includes Ramji Lamichhane as the choreographer, Sushil Devkota as the screenwriter, Sulakshan Bharti as the script doctor, and Nagendra Ghimire as the production manager.

The short story Paral Ko Ago, included in Mainali’s Naso collection, was previously adapted into a film 45 years ago by director Pratap Subba.
