The first look of the upcoming film Maitighar, produced under the banner of Rohit Adhikari Films Pvt. Ltd., has been officially released. The poster features the film’s main cast and offers a glimpse into the story’s emotional core.
Directed by Milan Tamang, the film is backed by producers Rabin Sherchan and Dhiraj Tamang, with Ishwar Shrestha and Niraj Katulal serving as executive producers. The story is penned by Chandrakumar Dong, with screenplay and dialogues by Ramsharan Pathak. Sushan Prajapati is the cinematographer, and Surendra Paudel is the editor.
The soundtrack boasts lyrics by Kiran Kharel, Kumar Syangba, and Ram Aviral, with music composed by Chandrakumar Dong, Alish Karki, S.D. Yogi, and the late Jayadev. Action choreography is by Astha Maharjan, and the trailer has been cut by Sahil Khan.
The film features a stellar ensemble cast including Kedar Ghimire, Dhiraj Magar, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Buddhi Tamang, Yubaraj Lama, Shishir Wangdel, Rajani Gurung, Santosh Shahi, Phoolkumar Bamjam, and Sangeeta Thapa.
The first-look poster not only highlights the characters but also features a glowing home in the backdrop—symbolizing the emotional resonance of the term “Maitighar” (maternal home). The film is said to delve into Tamang culture, adding depth and authenticity to its narrative.
Producer Rohit Adhikari, known for hits like Gajalu, Chh Maya Chhapakkai, and Pharki Pharki, stated that no effort will be spared in promoting the film, which he believes has turned out exceptionally well.
Maitighar is slated for release on Ashoj 13, coinciding with Phulpati, a major festival day during Dashain.
