Demonstrating empathy and social responsibility, renowned comedian Kedar Prasad Ghimire, popularly known as ‘Magne Budha’, has extended financial support of Rs 51,000 to Sita Subedi, the reigning titleholder of Ms. Nepal International 2023, who is currently battling lung cancer.
Ghimire personally visited Suddhigram Ayurvedic Hospital, where Suvedi is undergoing treatment, and handed over the donation in person. The event was also attended by Ms. Nepal International organizer Nishukanta Jha.
“It’s heartbreaking to see such a capable, positive, and active individual going through such a difficult time. I hope this small contribution can offer her some encouragement and motivation,” said Ghimire. He also appealed to others to come forward and support her during this challenging phase.
According to organizer Jha, Ghimire’s gesture reflects heartfelt goodwill and sets an inspiring example. The comedian had previously announced his intention to support Suvedi with Rs 50,000 during the launch of the latest edition of Mrs. Nepal, held recently in Lalitpur.
Sita Subedi, who won the Ms. Nepal International 2023 crown, has been undergoing treatment for lung cancer for the past few months. Apart from her pageant success, she has also been actively involved in social work. Currently, she is focused on rest and recovery.
