On the occasion of Janai Purnima, the trailer for the film Janai Harayeko Manche: Sambandhka Dhagaaharu was officially unveiled at an event held in Kathmandu.
The trailer highlights the struggles of the main character facing financial hardship while chasing dreams of prosperity. It portrays his journey—from his intention to go to South Korea to repay his father’s debt, to being stranded in Kathmandu, facing exploitation, and enduring various hardships while trying to support his family.
The protagonist, Bijay Baral, sets out with the hope of repaying his father’s loan by going to South Korea but ends up stuck in Kathmandu. The trailer captures his dream of providing a permanent home under a sturdy roof, but circumstances force him to put his own life on hold. Emotional scenes involving his love interest Miruna Magar and the distress caused to his sister Keki Adhikari add depth to the narrative.
Set against the backdrop of a typical lower-middle-class Nepali family, the film reflects social realities that resonate deeply with the general public. The production team is confident that the film will connect well with mainstream audiences.
