Filming of Maijharo, which began in the first week of Saun in Ilam, has now reached its final stage. Directed by Wilson Bikram Rai, the film aims to highlight the natural beauty of eastern hills and the warmth of human relationships.
The shooting took place across scenic locations in Deumai Municipality, Panitar, Jitpur, and Sakhejung of Ilam, extending to picturesque areas of Panchthar. According to Rai, audiences can expect a distinct flavor and cinematic experience from this project. The story and screenplay have also been penned by Rai himself.
Based on an original love story, the film features performances by Dhhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, Diya Pun, Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Pushkar Gurung, Abhay Raj Baral, Mautse Gurung, Kabita Ale, Rajani Gurung, Prem Subba, Uday Subba, Anil Subba, Bhupendra Lingden, and Bishal Limbu, among others.
Produced under the banner of Takme Production, the film features music by Anmol Gurung and Torempa Hang Rai, with vocals from Rajesh Payal Rai, Jhuma Limbu, Melina Rai, and Asmita Adhikari, among others. Cinematography is by Saurabh Lama, with distribution handled by RR Films and digital rights acquired by OSR.
