The Nepali film ‘Mahabhoj,’ which was publicly released on Jestha 30 (mid-June), is now available for streaming on the Nepali OTT platform MSM Video. Audiences worldwide can now watch the film conveniently at home via mobile, television, or computer through the app.
Directed by Dinesh Raut, ‘Mahabhoj’ is a socio-political drama based on Nepal’s cooperative scams, political corruption, and the common people’s quest for justice. The story follows a bank employee who, when asking his father for some money, discovers that his savings have been stuck in a cooperative. The film’s main narrative centers around the ensuing struggle, rebellion, and search for truth over the missing funds.
Produced by Himal Kadariya and written by Bikash Subedi, ‘Mahabhoj’ features performances by a talented ensemble cast including Dayahang Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Khagendra Lamichhane, Anjana Baraili, Gaumaya Gurung, Malika Mahat, Vasundhara Bhusal, Mohan Nirola, Buddhi Tamang, Kamalmani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung, Binod Nyaupane, and Abha Aryal.
