Deepashree Niraula has been officially signed for the upcoming film ‘Parbati’. On Tuesday, the film’s production team formalized the agreement with her. Nita Dhungana Adhikari, the film’s actress and director, mentioned that although there had been verbal discussions with Deepashree earlier, the formal contract was finalized on Tuesday.
Nita said while signing Deepashree, “We had been consulting and verbally agreed earlier. Today (Tuesday), it was finalized. Having her on my project is a great honor.” She confirmed that Deepashree has been signed as the lead actress.
After signing, Deepashree recalled her collaboration with Nita twelve years ago. “Twelve years ago, in 2070 BS, we helped each other in the film ‘Chha Ekan Chha,’” Deepashree said. “After 12 years, fate has brought us together again, and I am grateful for the opportunity to play the lead role in a film like ‘Parvati’ during the month of Saun, which is associated with Shiva and Parvati. I thank everyone for remembering me.”
Nita expressed her happiness to have Deepashree onboard after remembering her trust twelve years ago and now having her as the lead under her direction. Deepashree is also a successful director and actress of the ‘Chhakka Panja’ team, with most of her directed films being successful, which adds significance to her signing in this film.
Before Deepashree’s signing, Saroj Adhikari from the famous dance group ‘Cartoonz Crew’ had already been signed as the assistant director. Nita Dhungana Adhikari, who is both an accomplished actress and director, will also play the lead role in the film.
The film’s shooting is scheduled to start from the upcoming month of Asoj. The production team has already released two posters and announced the release date of the film, which is set for Magh 1 (mid-January). Apart from Nita and Deepashree, the production team has not yet disclosed the names of other cast members. According to the director, the cast and technical team details will be announced gradually.
The story of the film is written by Nita Dhungana, while the screenplay and dialogues are by Shivam Adhikari. Cinematography will be handled by Kabir Lal and Shahid Lal. The film is being produced by Savitra Adhikari, Narhari Adhikari, and Pawan Dhungana. Nita had previously stepped into production with the film ‘Hraswadeergh.’ This time, she is preparing to take a step into directing with ‘Parvati’ and ‘Sukh-Dukh.’
For distribution, Rich Entertainment and Apple Entertainment will handle the film within the Kathmandu Valley, while FD Company will take charge of distribution outside the valley.
