On the occasion of Dashain’s Phulpati, the film Maitighar, set to release from Ashoj 13, is being promoted aggressively.
Large posters of the film have been placed in cinemas across the country, along with hoarding boards in various locations. The film’s presenter, Rohit Adhikari, has already announced that no effort will be spared in promotion.
Meanwhile, a cash prize of NPR 500,000 has been announced for the best individual or group performing a dance to the film’s title song.
A 40-second to 2-minute video based on the song—scheduled to be released in the first week of Bhadra—must be sent to OSR Digital’s email address [email protected]. These videos will be published on OSR’s YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok accounts. Among the published videos, the one with the highest views and best choreography will be selected for the NPR 500,000 cash prize, according to the presenter, Rohit Adhikari.
Videos must be based on the song Basanta Nai Basna Khojchha Yaha Lolaayer and submitted by Bhadra 20. The song is sung by Indian singer Sanjeevani.
The production team has stated that the winner’s name will be announced and the prize awarded on Ashoj 12.
Directed by Milan Tamang, the film stars Dhiraj Magar, Kedar Ghimire, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Yubaraj Lama, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Wangdel, Rajani Gurung, Santosh Shahi, Phulkumar Bamjam, and Sangita Thapa, among others.
