After running successfully for 51 consecutive days in Nepal, the Nepali film “Hostel 3” is now set for release in India. Directed by Sushan Kandel, the film will hit over 50 theaters simultaneously from September 5 in regions including Sikkim, Darjeeling, Siliguri, Singtam, Guwahati, Assam, and Manipur.
The film’s Indian distribution is being handled by Gorkha Film Production and Super Cinema. Following its exceptional success in Nepal, the film has generated strong demand in the Sikkim–Darjeeling belt, particularly due to the large presence of the Indian Gorkha community.
The cast includes Paras Bam Thakuri (Kulbwoy), Rihan Giri, Padam Tamang, Ashish Ghimire, Simran Pant, Hena Nagarkoti, Sama Parajuli, Umar Khan, Santosh Baniya, and Ashish Purush, among others. The story centers on campus life, exploring themes of love, friendship, struggles, and youthful experiences—earning significant attention and popularity among the youth.
The film is written and associate-directed by Madhav Sharma. It is produced by Suresh Kandel and Govinda Adhikari, with Shishir Gyawali, Anish Sigdel, and Kundan Gupta serving as co-producers. Shankar Koirala is the executive producer, while Kosis Raj Chhetri is the line producer.
