A glimpse of actor Dayahang Rai’s look from the shooting set of the film Maijharo has been revealed. As the film enters its final stages of shooting, the actor can be seen in the attire of the Limbu community, holding a spear in one hand.
The production team has not disclosed much about his role yet. Prior to this, there had been no official confirmation about his involvement in the film. However, it has now been confirmed that Dayahang is a part of this movie. Director Wilson Bikram Rai has surprised the audience with this revelation.
The shooting of Maijharo began in the first week of Shrawan (Nepali month) in Ilam. This film, which is based on a traditional love story, features an ensemble cast including Dhiraj Magar, Miruna Magar, Diya Pun, Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Pushkar Gurung, Abhay Raj Baral, Mao Tse Gurung, Kavita Ale, Rajani Gurung, Prem Subba, Uday Subba, Anil Subba, Bhupendra Lingden, and Vishal Limbu. While Dayahang’s participation had not been confirmed until now, it is clear that he will be playing a central role in the film.
The production team has also announced that the film’s shooting is now in its final phase. Directed by Wilson Bikram Rai, the film is being shot in beautiful locations across Eastern Nepal, including Deumai Municipality, Panitar, Jitpur, and Sakhejung in Ilam, as well as scenic spots in Phidim, Panchthar.
The film’s story and screenplay have been written by Wilson Bikram Rai himself. The music for the film is composed by Anmol Gurung and Torempa Hang Rai, while the songs feature vocals from renowned artists such as Rajesh Payal Rai, Jhuma Limbu, Melina Rai, and Asmita Adhikari. The film’s cinematography is handled by Saurabh Lama, and its distribution will be managed by RR Films. The digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.
