Actor and director Nikhil Upreti has left for India to start the shooting of his dream project Acharya. On Tuesday, Nikhil, along with his production team, departed from Kathmandu for West Bengal.
In the photos, Nikhil Upreti is seen alongside producer and actress Sanchita Luitel, actress Purnika Sinjapati, cinematographer Manu Bikke, and chief assistant director Saynam Adhikari. The shooting of Acharya will begin on the 6th of Bhadra (August 22) from the famous location, Duars, in India.
The first phase of the shooting will begin in Duars, followed by filming in Bagdora, Siliguri, and Thakurganj. Nikhil mentioned, “In the second phase, we will shoot in Mumbai, Nasik, and Jharkhand, and in the third phase, the film will be shot in Nepal. We aim to complete the entire shooting within 60 days.”
In the film, Nikhil Upreti will play the lead role. Other actors include Purnika Sinjapati, Pramod Agrahari, Kamishwor Chaurasiya, and Vishal Pahari. There are also discussions that some well-known actors from Bollywood and South Indian cinema will appear in the film. When asked about this, Nikhil said, “There are still some surprises related to Acharya, and everything will be revealed in due time.”
Nikhil Upreti described Acharya as a world-class action film. In this film, actress Sanchita Luitel will make her debut as a choreographer. She is set to choreograph a song for both the Nepali and Hindi versions of the film.
This will be Nikhil’s second directorial venture, following his debut in 2015 with the film Bhairav. Nikhil is widely known as an action star in the Nepali film industry.
