Promotions for the upcoming film Maitighar, set to release on Asoj 13, are in full swing. Meanwhile, the production team has completed shooting its title song.
According to producer Rohit Adhikari, the song took 11 days to film. Although some portions of the song had earlier been shot in Baglung, the production team chose not to use those visuals and instead filmed the entire sequence in a new style. The choreography of the music video was done by Kabiraj Gahatraj.
Producer Adhikari revealed that the shooting of the song’s video cost around 5 million rupees. The video features lead actors Upasana Singh Thakuri and Shyamashree Sherpa dancing, along with a large chorus group, which significantly increased the production cost. The film is produced under the banner of Rohit Adhikari Films.
As the song is considered historic, the makers claim that no compromises were made in its production.
The music video is set to be released next week. The production team has also announced a competition, offering a cash prize of 500,000 rupees to the best participant who creates a video of 40 seconds to 2 minutes using the song. The song is sung by Indian singer Sanjivani.
Directed by Milan Tamang, Maitighar stars Kedar Prasad Ghimire, Prakash Saput, Dhiraj Magar, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Yubaraj Lama, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Wangdel, Rajani Gurung, Santosh Shahi, Phoolkumar Bamjam, and Sangeeta Thapa, among others.
The story of the film is by Chandrakumar Dong, with screenplay and dialogues by Ramsharan Pathak. The cinematography is by Sushan Prajapati, and editing by Surendra Paudel.
