The teaser of one of the most anticipated films of 2082, “Jerry on Top,” was officially released in Kathmandu on Monday. Produced under the banner of Ananya Films, the film is slated for nationwide release on October 17 (Asoj 31).
The launch event featured lead actors Anmol KC, Aanchal Sharma, and Jassita Gurung, along with comedian Kedar Ghimire ‘Magne Buda’, veteran actor Bhuwan KC, and Usha Khadgi, who were the center of media attention. Director Suyog Gurung expressed gratitude to the team for their dedication and called for strong audience support as the film nears release.
The 1-minute-52-second teaser offers a glimpse into the storyline, which revolves around a romance set against the backdrop of a daring expedition to the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest.
Presented by Saroj Neupane, the film is co-produced by Robyn Sherchan, Ramkrishna Shrestha, and Deepak Bhandari, with the story penned by Hemraj BC.
Executive producers include Anuradha Giri and Ishwar Shrestha, while Nabin Ghimire, Vivek Thapa, and Bhavish Khadka serve as associate producers. The film features music by Kaliprasad Baskota, Jayan J Waiba, Johan Chamling Rai, and Brijesh Shrestha, screenplay by Bishwas Timilsina, and cinematography by Dulip Regmi.
On the distribution side, LG Associates (Hong Kong) has acquired the film’s international rights (excluding Australia), while Reel Entertainment and FD Company hold the distribution rights for Nepal. With its high production budget, “Jerry on Top” has been touted as one of the most awaited films of the year.
