The dispute between actor Dhiraj Magar and the producers of the film ‘Airi’ has been amicably resolved. Following mediation by the Film Producers’ Association, both parties reached an agreement on Wednesday to continue filming within the scheduled timeframe.

Earlier, on August 18, producer Kamal Bahadur Ale of Multimate Pvt. Ltd. had filed a formal complaint with the association, seeking over Rs 140 million in damages, alleging that Dhiraj had failed to appear for scheduled shoots.

According to the complaint, Dhiraj had participated in only 16 days of filming while skipping the remaining 28 days as per the agreement. It was further claimed that despite receiving Rs 400,000 in advance from his agreed remuneration of Rs 1 million, he did not attend the shoot.

After Wednesday’s discussion, both sides agreed that Dhiraj will be present for the upcoming shoot scheduled between October 5 and November 15. Should there be any changes in schedule, the parties have agreed to resolve matters through mutual discussion, said association president Nawal Khadka.

Recently, Airi had completed nearly a month-long shooting schedule in Dhorpatan. Although the production was halted midway despite initial plans for a year-long schedule, the new agreement has paved the way for filming to resume.
