The new release date of the film Soltini has been announced along with the launch of its posters.
Starring Prakash Saput and Parikshya Limbu, the film will now hit theaters on Kartik 6 (Bhai Tika). Uniquely, its executive producer is “Harka Sampang Revolution & Team,” led by Dharan’s mayor Harka Sampang, known for his activism in public accountability.
Directed by Arjun Subedi, the film also features Wilson Bikram Rai, Sabbu Gurung, Rabindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, Kabita Ale, Sundar Dhital, and Sujan Khatri.
The four different posters suggest that the storyline revolves around love, culture, and rural life. They showcase the romantic chemistry of the lead pair, Pariksha Limbu in traditional attire and jewelry, the couple smiling as they cross a rural bridge, and a group poster highlighting folk culture, dance, music, and humor.
According to director Subedi, Soltini aims to offer audiences a fresh taste, addressing social issues like inhumanity and caste-based discrimination, while the love story of the two leads remains its central charm.
However, the film also brings a major challenge for Subedi. His earlier directorial venture Rangeli had failed commercially and received poor reviews. This time, he faces the responsibility of proving himself as a skilled storyteller.
The film has been shot in scenic locations including Ilam Bazaar, Biblayante, Kanyam, Birtamod, Pathari, and Bhojpur.
The songs are composed by Prashant Siwakoti and Hercules Basnet, with cinematography by Sushan Prajapati. The screenplay is written by Arjun Subedi and Kumar Bhattarai.
Produced under the collaboration of Planet Three Films and Yolo Entertainment, the film is produced by Regina Bista and Sansar Chaulagain, with Roshan Chaulagain, Basanta Katuwal, and Sujan Adhikari as co-producers. The posters and publicity designs are by Royal Bhimsen and Trident Concept, while distribution in Nepal will be handled by T-Falx Films. The digital rights have been acquired by OSR Digital.
