The Nepali feature film ‘Dhago’, starring actress Surakshya Panta, will be released simultaneously in theaters across Nepal and India on November 14. Unveiling the official poster on Friday, the producers stated that the film portrays a story of family, borders, and unbreakable bonds.
Directed by Udip Rana Thapa, who has 18 years of experience in Bollywood as a creative head, director, and producer, this is his first feature film. The movie focuses on the lives and emotional connections of Nepali families living in the Nepal–India border region. Alongside Surakshya Panta, the film stars Prabhat Thapa, Surabhi Thapa, Buddhi Tamang, Sunil Thapa, Rabin Sanskar, and others, with Varsha Raut appearing in a cameo role.
Cinematography is by Anikesh M. Ghogh, editing by Akhilesh Rai, and music by Pushpan Pradhan, with songs composed by Manchari and Rajin Sanskar. Produced by Film Magnet Entertainment India, ‘Dhago’ will be distributed in Nepal by RR Films and has OSR Digital as its digital partner. The film is expected to showcase the emotional threads connecting Nepali communities internationally.
