The first look poster of Paran, directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku), has been officially released. Along with the unveiling, the makers also announced that the film will premiere in cinemas nationwide on October 30 (Kartik 14), right after the Dashain and Tihar festivals.
The poster features lead actors Mahesh Tripathi and Anjana Baraily in an intimate embrace. A vermilion mark (sindoor) on Anjana’s forehead hints at their relationship as a married couple, although the production team has not formally confirmed this storyline.
While Tripathi appears in a serious mood, Baraily rests her head gently on his chest, conveying calmness and affection. Tripathi’s intense expression subtly suggests that their relationship might encounter challenges or dramatic turns.
The film’s tagline, “Saasle haina, saathle chalne” (Life is driven by companionship, not merely by breath), highlights its core message — emphasizing emotional bonds and togetherness over physical existence.
Paran is produced by Bioscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between Nepal’s prestigious Golchha Group and Prisma Group. According to Managing Director Ranjit Acharya, this marks the company’s first project under the Bioscope Cinema banner.
Veteran actor Nir Shah plays a pivotal role in the film, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Mahesh Tripathi, Anjana Baraily, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, Praveen Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Yaseli Yonghang, Babin Rai, Pushparaj Ojha, Seema Kafle, Daman Rupakheti, Yaman Shrestha, Subrata Raj Acharya, Suresh Thapa, Binod Rai, and child actor Aryadeep Acharya.
The story of Paran is penned by director Deepak Acharya himself, while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Yam Thapa. Acharya stated that with the first look release, the film’s promotional campaign has officially begun, noting that post-production is in its final stage.
The film features music by Rhythm Kandel, with songs performed by Pramod Kharel, Pushpan Pradhan, and Rachana Rimal, among others. Cinematography is handled by Shivaram Shrestha, and editing by Mitra D. Gurung.
Paran is scheduled for nationwide theatrical release on October 30 (Kartik 14).
