First Poster of Nepali Film Chirag Unveiled, Release Date Announced

The first poster of the new Nepali film Chirag has been officially unveiled. The production team announced the release date alongside the poster launch. Chirag is scheduled for a nationwide release on Mangsir 5. The poster features lead actor Tyagmurti, portraying the role of a transgender individual, shown in a scene where the character is trampled upon. In addition to playing the lead role, Tyagmurti has also written and directed the film.

The movie carries the tagline: “The lamp of hope never extinguishes.” The cast includes Tyagmurti, Sushil Pokhrel, Pragya Joshi, Subash Gajurel, Damodar Bhandari, Sher Bahadur DC, Sankala Gautam, Naresh Prasad Bhatt, Manoj Acharya, Madhawa Khanal, Minakshi Khanal, and child actor Sagar Kharel, among others. The screenplay was co-written by Naresh Prasad Bhatt and Sankala Gautam. The film’s producers are Sankala Gautam, Naresh Prasad Bhatt, and Tyagmurti himself. Produced under the Harinandaa banner, the film features songs performed by Deepak Limbu and Asmita Adhikari, with background score by Loknath Sapkota and sound mixing by Ashish Sunuwar.

The cinematography has been handled by Rahul Rai and Mefuj Ansari, while the editing is done by Subash Devkota. Kalpesh Bishwakarma is responsible for color grading, and the VFX work is carried out by Dinesh Dhakal. The film’s makeup is done by DK Hamal, and the music composition is also credited to Tyagmurti.
