‘Maitighar’ has been certified for universal viewing. The much-talked-about film ‘Maitighar’ is releasing on Ashoj 13. The Film Censor Board has granted it a ‘Universal’ certificate after censoring it on Wednesday evening. This means audiences of all age groups will be able to watch the film.
Timed with the Phulpati festival of Dashain, the film is expected to have a positive commercial opening. After watching it at the censor board, discussions were held regarding the story, presentation, and performances. Many members of the board remarked that it was a rare opportunity to watch an excellent family film after a long time.
The production team stated that the censor officials praised the film for being comedic, family-oriented, and emotionally engaging. Producer Rohit Adhikari has also expressed confidence that audiences will not be disappointed this time.
Advance bookings have already opened. The film has secured over 100 shows across theaters nationwide, with more still to be added. Many halls have scheduled screenings from 5:15 in the morning until evening, showing high anticipation and excitement among audiences.
The film’s trailer and title song have already caught viewers’ attention. The cast includes Kedar Prasad Ghimire, Dhiraj Magar, Prakash Saput, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Shyamashree Sherpa, Yubaraj Lama, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Wangdel, among others.
