Song ‘Kata Chhau Mero Phool’ from ‘Kumari’ Goes Viral Online

 The song “Kata Chhau Mero Phool” from the upcoming Nepali film ‘Kumari’, presented during the film’s announcement event, has gone viral online. Sung live by Kehar Singh Limbu and his band ‘Kehar and the Lunga’, the song has quickly gained massive popularity on TikTok and YouTube.

The live version has already inspired over 150,000 TikTok videos and garnered more than 550,000 views on YouTube. Particularly, the Gen-Z audience is enthusiastically using the track in their TikTok content. The studio-recorded version of the song will be released alongside the film. This track is considered one of the major songs of ‘Kumari’.

Director Dinesh Raut shared that around 50% of the film’s shooting has been completed. He noted that the unexpected popularity of the song has boosted the confidence of the production team.

The film was officially announced at a grand event in Tundikhel, Kathmandu, featuring lead actors Abishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari, both making their debut in prominent roles.

The cast also includes Ghanshyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Akanksha Karki, Madhu Khadka, Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane, Manisha Sharma, and Bhoopi Luhar. The film is produced by Binish Entertainment in collaboration with Picture Frame, with Mahendra Adhikari as the producer. The script is developed by Subedi, and cinematography is handled by Susan Prajapati.

Kumari will feature four songs in total, all sung by Kehar Singh Limbu, with music contributions from Kehar Singh Limbu, Suman Tamang, and Prashant Shivakoti. Lyrics are written by Sagar Lamichhane Magar, Suman Tamang, and Yubaraj Kafle.

The production team has announced plans to release the film later this year.
